Rangers 4, Ducks 2

First, the positives. Scott Gomez had a two point night, including the game winning goal. Fredrik Sjostrom scored. Two power play goals.

Then, there's Aaron Voros. I didn't disagree with Tom Renney putting him in the lineup. After all, this Anaheim team is a big team, with many who like to mix it up. However, it's safe to say we will see the return of Petr Prucha to the lineup next Tuesday night. Dan Fritsche was not much of a factor, but what more do you expect.

Blair Betts continues to prove his value to this team. Anyone who cries about him being in the lineup despite not scoring goals doesn't know hockey. It was fitting that a solid defensive play on the PK leads to his empty net goal.

Marcus Naslund with a blast from the slot to score the first goal. Don't see that too often.

The Rangers had two fighting majors in this game and you had to guess the players involved. Would you have guessed Ryan Callahan and Brandon Dubinsky?

Who is this Festerling fellow?

Scott Niedermeyer played nearly 30 minutes, but he actually looks like he's starting to age. Chris Pronger is still a monster.

-DP is out for the season. Sad. Really. The Islanders look like they will accomplish their mission in securing John Tavares next season. How else can you explain the moves in the past year? Don't give me that "what about the lottery?" crap. When do you see an upset in the NHL Draft lottery?
